WE Day Toronto was seriously CHARGED UP.
All Drake references aside, WE Day in the 6ix (okay, just one more) saw more than 20,000 world changers fill the Air Canada Centre for the most epic start to the 2015-2016 WE Day season.
From superstar hosts like Demi Lovato Kardinal Offishall, and Nina Dobrev, standout performances including ones from Hozier, Nick Jonas, Kiesza, Francesco Yates and Shawn Mendes to amazing speakers like Rookie Mag editor-in-chief Tavi Gevinson, Tyrone Edwards, Henry Winkler and social change activist Tonika Morgan, #WEDay Toronto came out in full force.
Let’s also not forget the unstoppable youth who lit up our stage with their stories and the thousands in the crowd who are changing our world.
WE Day is all about celebrating the power WE have to change the world. Here some of our Toronto highlights!
What better way to kick off WE Day Toronto than with a red carpet! Students woke up extra early to snap a few selfies with some of our performers and speakers.
The red carpet was definitely, where the Kenyan Boys Choir decided to make their presence known. They mingled and shared moments with the other talents and honored guests. This was after warming the chilly morning by breaking out in song and dance on the red carpet, as they were the first to arrive. All through the event, the Choir had interactive sessions with active participants and Free the Children Change-makers.
