The Kenyan Boys Choir had an amazing in Canada. They performed in a series of concerts organized by charity organization, Free the Children network. The choir jetted out of Nairobi on 10th September and returned back on December  7th. Free the Children is the same organization that hosted Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes in Kenya in August as well as X Factor judge, Demi Lovato. Demi celebrated her birthday at the Maasai Mara while doing charity work. She was serenaded by the Kenyan Boys Choir on her 21st birthday.

We Day is a celebration of the youth service with events that feature musicians, celebrities, youth and activists. It is run by the Free the Children network, a charity founded by child rights activists Craig Kielburger and his brother, Marc. It started in Toronto in 2007 and now is held in 12 locations around Canada, the US and UK. The Kenyan Boys Choir are honored to have been part of We Day events  in fall 2013.

The Kenyan Boys Choir helped to raise awareness in Canada  on the various charity activities going on in Kenya including building schools in a campaign dubbed We Day.

The boys’ choir had an opportunity to interact with famous stars like Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Martin Sheen, as well as musicians such as Nelly Furtado, Classified, Hedley, Kardinal Offishall, Tyler Shaw and Shawn Desman.

The series of events begun in Toronto on 20 September and continued throughout various Canadian cities till 27th November when it concludes in Atlantic Canada.

Memories of spectacular collaborations of the choir with trending artists remain edged in minds of fans who were thrilled during WE Day 2013. These artists included
